Santa Fe Bandits

The saga of Adam Pike, dispatched by his Pa to find good land, water and graze for his kin to settle while war rages between the States moves from the prairie to the desert when he finds Santa Fe in turmoil.
Continuing the story from Sand Hills Sioux, Santa Fe Bandits introduces Adam to Consuelo, a Spanish widow with secretive interest, lawyer Maxey and his twisted relations in a town ready to blow apart.
While doing no more than working to meet his duty, Adam finds rebels aiming to overthrow the territory willing to kill him and any in their way. A simple search for land, it seems to him, has become a journey mixing French invasions of Mexico with Spanish Dons,a hard-hearted Anglo sheriff with an axe to grind leading to a violent kidnapping which must be avenged.
