Saturday and the Nothing

Saturday and the Nothing is Book II of The Essence, an exciting serial ghost story about the adventures of three children alone at home for the weekend.


Seventeen-year-old Alyssa Dempsey desperately searches for her two younger brothers, who are trapped in a supernatural world called the Nothing.  Aided by a ghost named Benny, she struggles against dark forces seeking to reclaim the Essence, a magical glass wand that she now protects.


Meanwhile, deep in the black Nothing, thirteen-year-old Bradley searches for his younger brother Sean.  During his explorations, Bradley confronts dangerous creatures, and ultimately meets Patrick, the leader of the Lost Souls and the sinister owner of the wand.


The Essence concludes with Sunday and the Brothers (October 2013).
