Stunning conclusion to an amazing series!

What a stunning and brilliant conclusion to the Sky King Ranch Series!! I loved this series and this is my favorite book yet!
The Kingston triplets are wonderful -and perfectly flawed- heroes, and Colt’s personality and vibrancy melted my heart! I love that we get to see more of Ranger and Dodge, even if it was Colt’s turn to his happily ever after. The different points of view -Colt, Tae, Noemi, Ranger- made the story even more interesting, and I loved the character growth in the book.
Colt Kingston, former Delta Operative, and discharged from the Military Army, has a complex history that makes him feel broken. After more than a decade away from home, he arrives to the Sky King Ranch -after being kidnapped and tortured by terrorists in Nigeria- seriously injured and battling for his life. At home, there’s a mysterious stranger who nurses him back to health. Taylor -Tae- Price was rescued half frozen to death after the plane she was in crashed. She’s hunted by Russian spies so, after pretending she can’t speak to be safe, she decides to come clean with the Kingstons, but can they trust such impacting story or is she hiding something else? Colt feels attracted to her, and vows to protect her. But the thugs who are after her threaten everyone at Sky King Ranch, and Tae knows she must flee to keep them safe. Will Colt find her and keep her from harm? Tae holds the key to keep her country and the world from a global deadly disaster, but will the Russians get to her in the end?
This story had an intense and constant edge-of-your seat suspense! I can really say that I had a lot of trouble putting this book down, and kept looking for moments to keep on reading, despite I should be sleeping or doing something else. This is not just action and suspense, or mere romance, this is a deeply inspiring book that will make you reflect about the purpose of your life, of discovering who you are in the light of a God that loves you unconditionally and forgives you over and over. I loved the cast of characters. Colt is, in Tae words, a man with “magnetic, self-deprecating charm that might push her over the edge”. He was intense and had a no-nonsense attitude. He’s brave, courageous and sacrificial. He doesn’t care if his life is in the line as long as he can save and recue others. He gets things done. And this personality is what puts him in constant danger and trouble, and is what makes Tae hesitant to give him his heart. Just like her father never came back after being deployed, can she trust her heart to a man that might as well do the same and break it all over again? Tae is a brilliant scientist; she’s devoted to her work. She doesn’t trust easily. She has a big heart. A heart that Colt charms and melts with little effort. She’ll have to learn to trust. They will both have to learn to trust God with their lives. I loved the spiritual growth of both characters in the book. It felt natural and not preachy. About trusting God with your life and not living in fear, about forgiveness and letting go of the past. They are some amazing dialogues. There are also some secondary characters, like Barry -the Kingston’s dad-, Ham, Zoey, who give some great words of wisdom, and I loved that. I also loved this quote from Noemi to Tae: “I used to think that way. That if God didn’t answer me, or not in the way I wanted, that he didn’t care or even like me. But that’s not true… I’ve started to see God at work all over my life. Now, and in the past. He wasn’t ignoring me. I just didn’t see his work until I wanted to”.
This book has everything I love in a book: amazing but flawed and relatable characters, a fast-paced great plot with unexpected twists, intrigue, suspense, adventure, real life drama, a swoony kind of broken-redeemed hero, and a faith inspired thread that will impact me in some way or the other. I love learning from the character’s journey, and this book definitely did that to me, as well as the previous in the series. All in all, a fantastic conclusion to an amazing series that shouldn’t be missed! If you love romantic suspense, this series is for you! A must-read! Loved it so much!
