Telling Dreams

Someone had told her you cannot die in a dream. They had also said you cannot kill in a dream. But Louisa’s recurring dream was like no other.

She knew the pain that love could bring, having lost it once before. But the man she met whilst travelling with her beloved Aunt was to become a love like no other. A love that would bring to her dull, empty life, mystery, fear, ecstasy and yes, even horror.

‘You cannot kill in a dream’ the man had said but what did he really know? For within that dream she was facing the enemy and she faced him alone. Three times she thought she had destroyed this menace but in doing so, she conquered only one fear and awoke more that lay hidden for years inside her; for the biggest battle to come lay in the gradual realisation of what she was really capable of.
