The Best Mistakes

Small town western romance from bestselling author Carolyn Brown. Photographer Lexi Rodgers reluctantly agrees to shoot the cover for a bestselling author's latest book set in small town Texas. Now she's stuck for six weeks shadowing the cover model Max Johnson on his ranch.

Bestselling romance author Teresa Lanson is in Sunny, Texas for a book signing when she sees rancher Max Johnson walking down the street and decides she has to have him to model for the cover of her new book. She won't take no for an answer and makes a deal with good old boys on the City Council. If Max models, she'll set her next book in Sunny.

Lexie Rodgers works for Teresa as her social media assistant and is also a professional photographer. Demanding and overbearing, Teresa makes Lexie a financial deal that she can’t afford to refuse. She'll stay on Max’s ranch, photographing and shadowing him for six weeks. Teresa wants pictures and explanations to shortcut her research for the book.

Lexie falls in love with the town of Sunny and the Circle C ranch—as well as Ruby, the cook and surrogate grandmother to Max, and the guys who live in the bunkhouse. Trouble is she's falling in love with Max at the same time.
