The Binary Dilemma is a speculative science-fiction thriller about Evans Whitehouse, a calculating opportunist who discovers two secrets hidden beneath ordinary life: a parallel Earth called Orpheus and a technology capable of traveling through time. Orpheus exists roughly sixty years behind Earth—a carefully maintained difference that allows both worlds to survive. After manipulating his way into the organizations guarding these secrets, Evans uses knowledge from the future to accelerate Orpheus's development and build extraordinary power. His actions eventually destroy the balance between the worlds, creating the Binary Dilemma: Earth and Orpheus can no longer continue to exist simultaneously, and one civilization must be sacrificed so the other can survive.
