The Boardwalk People

What if beings other than ourselves have been here all along, blending in with the crowd? What if, during a nightly stroll along the boardwalk, someone… or something lurked just beneath you?

Teenage Beth's wish is granted when she is able to spend a summer with her best friend at her aunt and uncle's house on the Jersey Shore. While there, they hear about the disappearance of a young woman on a nearby boardwalk. It turns out, people have been disappearing around the boardwalks in some of the other towns along the shore. No evidence is found of any of the missing people, but locals believe they were taken by the Boardwalk People.

 

Though they are told to stay near the house, Beth and her friend, Abby, can't help but be curious as they go out to learn more about these beings and discover more than just creatures of lore. The Boardwalk People are real, and thanks to an offshore drilling project disrupting their home, they are not happy and intend to let humanity know.
