The Four Year Crush

There’s nothing wrong with Wyatt Radcliffe. He’s got good looks, a great personality, and unimpeachable personal hygiene—all reasons he’s been voted Sprucevale’s Most Eligible Bachelor three years running. Plus, he’s got an adorable cat, and he got over that crush on his best friend Lainey ages ago.

The only thing missing? A girlfriend to take to his ex’s wedding.

It’s not that Wyatt isn’t trying. For the past year, he’s been striking out on date after date, and all the self-help books, supportive friends, and meddling grandmothers in the world can’t do a thing. Even though the wedding’s fast approaching, he’s hopeless.

Luckily for Wyatt, his best friend Lainey Vaughn likes to fix things. Whether it’s the leaky bathtub in her fixer-upper house or the teens she counsels as a therapist, she’s a one-woman problem solver.

And fixing Wyatt? Easy. Teaching him to be the swooniest, hottest, most romantic man in the Blue Ridge will be a piece of cake. He’s already sweet, handsome, and loyal–plus, he makes an excellent grilled cheese and looks good with his shirt off. Once he gets a little bit of game, it’s over for Sprucevale’s single women.

Problem is, Wyatt takes instruction well. Very well. Too well, maybe, because soon Lainey is starting to wish that their dates were more than just practice. Too bad she missed her chance when they first met years ago–he asked her out, but she turned him down, and now that ship has clearly sailed.
