The Great Lent

The Great Lent contains exhaustive excerpts and commentary from patristic writings on the readings and themes of the weeks of the Great Lent according to the Coptic Orthodox tradition. Also included in this volume is a series of three articles containing an introduction to the spirituality of the Great Lent, a liturgical history of its customs and rites, and a general overview of its Sunday gospel readings.
