About the Author
Liza Cody is an award-winning author of novels and short stories, widely recognized for her contributions to British crime fiction. Her Anna Lee series introduced the professional female private detective to the genre and was adapted for television in both the UK and the United States. Her groundbreaking Bucket Nut Trilogy featured professional wrestler Eva Wylie and further established her reputation for bold, character-driven storytelling.
Her work includes numerous acclaimed titles such as Rift, Gimme More, Ballad of a Dead Nobody, Lady Bag, and The Short-Order Detective, and her novels have been translated internationally. In 2019, she received the prestigious Radio Bremen Krimipreis. Cody’s short stories have been published in many magazines and anthologies. They are collected in two volumes: Lucky Dip and other stories and My People and other crime stories.
Born in London, where much of her work is set, Cody began her career in the visual arts before turning to writing. She now lives in Bath and continues to write.
