The Mountain Lionman's Stalker

A P.I. crouched behind an armchair, certain she's found her mark. A mountain lion shifter who drags her out of hiding and demands answers. By morning, the case is the last thing on either of their minds.

Private investigator Dana Evans left the LAPD five years ago and still hasn't figured out what she wants instead. A grieving aunt hires her to track down her niece's absent father, and the trail leads to a mountain lion shifter near a guarded paranormal academy. Convinced she's found her mark, Dana breaks into his apartment to wait him out — only for him to drag her out from behind his recliner, furious, and impossible to ignore.

Professor Leonardo Loewe hasn't let anyone this close in seven years, and he isn't in the mood to start with the woman he just caught trespassing in his home. But with Santa Ana winds tearing through the mountain and nowhere safe for her to go, throwing her out isn't really an option — and neither, it turns out, is staying angry at her once she's settled in for the night.

Even though Dana knows falling for a man tied to her own case isn't part of the plan, she can't make herself walk away from him. And although Leo swore off getting close to anyone years ago, one look at her makes him question why.

A P.I. who's supposed to be closing her case, not opening her heart. A shifter professor who hasn't let anyone this close in years. When the case is over, will she still have a reason to stay?
