The Mountain Men: The Death Wind

Formerly published as The Valley of Giants.  Davie Meadows and the gang are back!  This story takes place during the Mountain Man Era of the 1820's.  A group of legendary trappers, under the leadership of Davie Meadows, are fulfilling a promise to guide a young woman named Sarah and her little brother Jamie to their land claim on the Willamette River of Oregon.  Their journey takes them through the South Pass of the Continental Divide and into a land that is full of gigantic wonderments, adventures and danger!  It is an untamed land that was first roughly mapped out by Lewis and Clark during their famous exploratory trip across America in the early 1800's.  Unfriendly natives, rogue fur traders, conflict with the Hudson Bay Company and nature itself make The Mountain Men: The Death Wind a story that is packed with the actual challenges that the early explorers of the Rocky Mountains had to face on a daily basis.  Each day brings a new threat to their survival in a land that is both beautiful and unforgiving.
