The Perfect Tenant

A gripping psychological thriller packed with secrets, suspicion and jaw-dropping twists, for fans of Michelle Frances, Gemma Rogers and Lisa Jewell.

Would you trust a total stranger with your home – and your child?

When Ellie desperately needs somewhere to live, she seems like the perfect tenant. So when she moves into the spare house at a reduced rent, her landlady is happy to give her a chance.

Until she lets Ellie babysit her son.

A bruise on his arm is the first warning. Then properties on the street are vandalised, a neighbour is murdered and suspicion falls on Ellie.

But the truth could be even more terrifying. England’s most notorious serial kidnapper, whose identity has never been discovered, is heading towards their town. And the more the landlady learns about Ellie, the more convinced she becomes that she is the kidnapper.

Her boyfriend thinks she’s paranoid. The police don’t believe her. But she knows she can’t take the risk.

If Ellie really is the kidnapper, she will never get her hands on her son.

Because she’ll do whatever it takes to keep him safe.

THE PERFECT TENANT is a gripping psychological thriller of dangerous secrets, deadly suspicions and a mother who will stop at nothing to protect her child.
