The Prisoner in the Third Cell

A modern Christian classic on wrestling with God amidst doubt and disappointment.

Once more the pen of Gene Edwards, author of A Tale of Three Kings and The Divine Romance, has crafted a masterfully told and profoundly moving story. The Prisoner in the Third Cell is a book of comfort, told as an unforgettable biblical drama, for those caught up in circumstances they do not understand.

As John the Baptist awaits his execution in prison, he struggles to understand a Lord who isn't the Messiah he expected. Thought-provoking and beautifully written, this fictionalized account of the cousin of Christ addresses:

• Holding onto faith in the face of adversity

• Why God allows believers to endure tragedy

• Continuing to trust God's plan when life doesn't make sense

If you are a suffering Christian or know of one, this book will bring incredible hope—and insight into the ways of God.
