The Put Up Job

Clint Adams was passing time in Festus, Wyoming, when he had a run-in with the biggest rancher in the county. Vance Restin had no respect for anyone, but when he realized that Clint was the Gunsmith, he tried to hire him for a special job—escorting the rancher's daughter to Sacramento. When Clint turned him down—no matter how much money the rancher offered—he found himself forced into a situation where he had to take the job or suffer the consequences.
