The Storsen War

Peylan has fallen. Above its walls floats Tir Inna Noc — a city in the sky, the Immortal's greatest weapon and most terrible threat — carrying aboard a device capable of annihilating a city in a single blow, as the ruins of Zaklia already bear witness.

To the east, the Free Cities must choose: fight a war they may not survive, or bow to a conqueror who will spare nothing and no one.

Caught between duty, survival, and conscience, an unlikely cast of characters is drawn into the eye of the storm. Hektar Henriksdal, the aging archmage, must hold together an alliance of fractious powers with little more than cunning and bluff. Liona, an elf with a score of her own to settle, threads her way through enemy lines in search of the one man she intends to kill. Charon, a half-elf dragon-rider, begins to understand that loyalty and justice are not always the same thing — and that the moment to choose between them may be coming faster than she thought.

The War of Storsen has begun. Not everyone will see its end.
