Descripción editorial
From the author of the series that inspired Amazon Prime's Off-Campus comes another bingeable series full of romance, hijinks and yearning.
Welcome to Avalon Bay!
College student Cassie Soul hasn’t spent an entire summer in Avalon Bay in years, not since her parents divorced and her mother spitefully whisked her away to Boston. Now that her grandmother is selling the boardwalk hotel that’s been in their family for five decades, Cassie returns to the quaint beach town to spend time with family, ring in her twenty-first birthday…and maybe find herself a summer fling.
On her first night in town, she finds the perfect candidate: Tate Bartlett, Avalon Bay’s fun-loving golden boy.
Tate, sailing instructor and lovable player, is no stranger to flings. In fact, he’s always down for a good time. But the moment he meets Cassie, he knows she’s not the girl you play games with. Cassie is gorgeous, hilarious, and, frankly, the coolest person he’s ever met. The last thing he wants to do is risk breaking her heart, and so he reluctantly puts her in the friend-zone…only to realize he made a huge mistake. Soon, his attraction to Cassie becomes impossible to ignore. He wants that fling now. Big-time.
And maybe even something more.
As Cassie and Tate walk the line between friends and lovers, they’re about to discover that their situation is the least complicated part of this equation. Because Avalon Bay is full of secrets—and their relationship might not survive when those secrets come to light.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
A summer romance outlasts its season in Kennedy's saucy third Avalon Bay new adult romance (after Bad Girl Reputation). When college senior Cassandra Soul returns to Avalon Bay for one final summer before her grandmother moves to Boston, she's determined to experience the passion her friends have found, a quest she calls "operation summer fling." Smoking-hot sailing instructor Tate Bartlett seems the perfect choice. Tate has a reputation as a player, but a gentle, caring spirit lies beneath his charm. He's immediately attracted to Cassie and is onboard with a romance—until he finds out she's a virgin. Fearing their affair would wind up becoming too serious, he friend-zones Cassie, offering to be her wingman instead. She reluctantly agrees, but as they hang out all summer long without the pressure of dating, their platonic friendship naturally transitions into love. When Cassie's narcissistic mom arrives in Avalon Bay, however, secrets and lies come to light that shake the foundation of their budding relationship. There are plenty of laughs and heartfelt moments along the way, and the young lovers handle conflict with refreshing and believable maturity. The result is a perky depiction of first love that will have readers' hearts fluttering.
