Told in the Coffee House: Turkish Tales

Some of the best stories we hear can be told in unconventional, informal settings. 


None as unique as the stories told over the loud whirring of a coffeemaker. This is a collection of stories overheard in coffee shops throughout Turkey by our author, who became entranced by the subtle art of conversation he witnessed in these settings, when people would tell stories to illustrate their points. 


Many of these stories are familiar in Arabic or Persian literature, but are completely new for most of the English-speaking world.
