TRANSIT

I  lived almost exclusively in Italy, but I have traveled a lot in my life .... mostly for work.

I have been traveling across Europe, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, China, India ..... almost always for work.

Since I was in a business trip I had no much time to explore these places, and therefore I had very little time to devote to photography.

I spent my free time in airports, train stations, hotels, streets, where I often met men and women, families and singles, who like me were moving from one place to another using trains, airplanes, trams, cars, subways, buses.

I never knew from where they were coming from and where they were going, I did not know their names and nationalities, but those people, absolute strangers, shared with me, even if only for an moment, the same condition: being in transit.

I started photographing them, to make them become part of my memories.

This book is therefore dedicated to all of them, those strangers who have been part of my life, during my travels, that made me not feeling alone.
