Seven teams during the nine months of race, will battle against each other in the most fiercest conditions that Nature can throw at them, crossing four oceans and five continents.
There are nine Legs of race, with boats covering 38,739 nautical miles (71,745 Km / 44,580 miles) and with a series of pit stops in 11 countries: Spain, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, China, New Zealand, Brazil, United States, Portugal, France, The Netherlands and Sweden.
Each host port stages a festival lasting around two weeks, featuring free family entertainment and a chance to see first-hand what the sailors have to put themselves trough to succeed.
It is one of the toughest events in the world of sport and a human challenge like no other.
