We Are the Hunted

From the bestselling author of I Am Still Alive, a spine-chilling thriller about a cult and the dark woods hiding its secrets!

Julia is in desperate need of a fresh start, and this summer is the perfect opportunity. A remote cabin with no one around for miles except for her family and Kennedy—her best friend and secret crush—is exactly what she needs to put the past year behind her.

But when a barefoot girl emerges from the woods in tattered clothes, those plans are shattered. Before they know what's happened, Julia and Kennedy are alone in a vast wilderness with a mysterious girl who may or may not be who she says she is. Then the bodies start dropping as they find themselves at the heart of an ancient ritual.

But in these woods, the hunted can easily become the hunter. Loyalties will be tested, family ties strained, and every truth questioned as Julia has to face a side of herself that she's long sought to repress. With life and death in the balance on every page, master-of-suspense Kate Alice Marshall once again delivers a nail-biting tour de force that will keep readers guessing until the very end.
