Wreck in the Deep

Ingrid Torfudottir lives two lives in two different worlds. In Runde, a small town in northern Minnesota, she sells her Norse myth-inspired ink drawings in her friend’s bookshop café. And in Villmark, a village hidden inside a pocket dimension protected by ancient magic, she studies to become a volva. A Viking witch.

But no matter which world she walks in, Ingrid finds herself called on to solve murders, murders tinged with magic, murders only someone with her particular skills can solve.

When a group of people from Runde and people from Villmark gather together on a lonely island off the shore of Lake Superior to do a little ice fishing, she finds her two worlds overlapping. So of course the murders begin.

But Ingrid just might be in over her head this time. Because her ancestral past just might be coming back to haunt her.
