This book looks at how our brains and the quality of our infancies have a profound and hidden influence on working the 12 steps and how working the 12 steps changes our brains. It is possible for us to spend many years as a member of AA (or any other 12-step program) and still suffer from certain problems that continue to baffle us. This is not necessary.
