Thankful Blossom

Thankful Blossom is a proper young lady, perhaps age eighteen to twenty, during the American Revolution. She lives on a farm near Morristown, New Jersey, at the time General Washington and his army arrive to encamp for the winter. Probably modeled after the real-life Tempe Wick, Bret Harte weaves a tale of intrigue and romance which has entertained readers since its debut in 1876.
