Affair of the Heart

After Rosemarie's father arranges a marriage for her with the son of his close friend and business partner, he sends her on a pre-marital holiday to New Orleans to visit her best friend. She is disheartened with loneliness—until she attends a party thrown by her mother’s friend, Lily Larue, where she meets the powerful, masculine, and charming Beau Broussard. He draws her into a love tryst that captures her heart with undying love. Her engagement to Patrick, however, poses a catalyst that threatens to tear them apart.

She becomes involved in a desperate struggle to avoid marriage to Patrick, all to no avail. Running into obstacles at every turn, desperation sets in when Beau starts losing heart of them ever having a life together. As the outlook of her future with Beau starts to shatter into fragments of disillusioned dreams, Rosemarie goes to dangerous lengths to free herself from an unwanted marriage so she can be with the man she loves.
