Born in a Casket: A Poetry Book

Intro

these are prophetic happenings

we wished upon the stars

but went to war like rival galaxies

we used to be measured by the places, we fell short

but now we need parachutes for the heights we plummet from

like what were we supposed to do

from broken ground these flowers bloom

in smoked filled rooms they brokered deals

while these sober moments bring us down

keep the jokes incoming because we’re laughing still

from battlefields to fields of daffodils

we matter still
