Elle was not sure why she was standing up, walking until she and Mr. Knight were face-to-face, so close that she could practically feel his lips.

Her boss' voice was so silky, so soft. Dangerous. "You know what the problem is, dear? I've been too easy on you."

She looked up at him unflinchingly. "Then don't be."

It was a dialogue she had only ever imagined, but apparently, that was all it took for Henry to grasp the sides of her face and kiss her harshly. His tongue demanded entry, and of course, she let it in. She would always let him in...
