Development of British Columbia

Descripción editorial

British Columbia became Canada's sixth province. As part of North America it started as a colony and eventually becoming Canada's third largest province. In British Columbia, the fur trade led to increased populations and the eventual arrival of the railway. This process of increasing populations led to conflict and a colourful history.

Discover the background and details of British Columbia from the gold rush to the railway to the people who shaped it. This book contains information on British Columbia throughout the 1800's.

Mr. Reid's students of Westsyde Secondary School created this book to be a portfolio of their learning about British Columbia. This history book is written in a multi touch format to make it both a deep learning experience and a fun read.
