Does Littering Contribute to Flooding‪?‬

There is a profound connection between littering and flooding. It is not evident, however, until it is too late. Throwing trash in the streets is just the beginning of the problem. In Guadalajara, and other major cities in Mexico, litter contributes to flooding which can lead to major health problems in local communities. "Does Littering Contribute to Flooding?" highlights this growing problem and also provides solutions to help communities overcome this situation. This eZine was created by an American School Foundation of Guadalajara student, under the direction of Mr. Nelson Taylor (English teacher) and Ms. Melissa Gibson (social studies teacher), for an 8th grade cross-curricular project on research information and digital media.
