Get the stacks of purple ammo from the car (ctrl+click on to switch them all at once). You want those on your turrets. 
replace the inserters and strength poles to your brief access bar with bullets and repair packs. leave an empty area for your quick get entry to bar for the defender capsules you may recover from the primary biter colony. 
pressure south after which east throughout the trees closer to the first colony. prevent simply beyond the timber and set up some turrets and cargo them with bullets (this is where having the bullets for your brief get entry to bar is helpful; with the bullets selected you can ctrl+click the turrets to load 2 hundred bullets every or ctrl+right click on to simply load a hundred bullets in every)
