Faith, Hope, And Reason

People have been arguing about the existence of God since medieval times. This book gives a detailed analysis of the arguments both for and against religious belief, including contemporary ones from creationists and the New Atheists. Special attention is given to Richard Dawkins' book The God Delusion, and it's shown how his criticisms of religion fail to meet the basic conditions of logical coherence. Although a conclusive case for atheism can still be made, this doesn't mean religious believers are irrational in affirming their faith. 

The author has taught philosophy, logic, and the history of science at universities and colleges for many years.
