Fields of Foods

Driving home one afternoon, Rob and Janelle Alex had the idea of sharing all kinds of different fields with those who cannot travel to see them.  Both of them were born and raised in the mid-west with corn and bean fields.  With three sons of their own they understand the excitement children have in learning new things.  They wanted to not only teach their sons about where different foods come from they wanted to share this with children everywhere. 


Fields of Foods is a wonderful journey discovering the various fields our foods come from.  Bright and colorful pictures take you around the world.  This book offers the opportunity to see fields in places you cannot likely travel to everyday.  Cornfields are a common sight to some people while rice terraces are a common sight to others.   Within these pages you will be able to visit a wide variety of fields, while snuggled up in a cozy spot.  As you take a look at each field challenge yourself and see if you can figure out what food grows there.   Both parents and children may be surprised at what they learn.
