“My name is Cassia Green. This fenced in community is all I’ve ever known. I was born here and grew up here.”

Eighteen year old Cassia is happy with her simple life in her community, but when a monster tears in and ruins everything she knows and loves, she, her sister Lily and her sister’s boyfriend are forced to run into the barren and broken world outside the fence, hoping for safety.

But something evil is following them, and the world outside is as unfriendly and dangerous as they thought it was. They start to uncover the truth about what happened and the events that led up to the traumatic collapse of everything they knew.

Can they find safety somewhere else? Or will they be destined to always keep running, the monsters behind them waiting for a chance to pounce?

Mandi Rudge has a passion for the planet and for stories, like The Hunger Games and Twilight. She used the additional time the pandemic afforded her to finally put her story to paper to create her debut novel. She hopes you enjoy the story.
