I Dreamed I was a Cockroach

Lucky Sinclair, heroin-addicted special needs teacher, is on a speedy downhill slide to rock bottom when a near-death experience and an African Shaman with a mysterious cure for addiction save her from a crash landing. No more robbing vending machines for dope money and sneaking around the streets like an over-sized cockroach. 

Just when it looks like things might get easier, the abduction of a beloved dolphin friend sets her on a path even more chaotic and dangerous. No one is willing to help with the rescue, so she goes it alone. Well, alone other than the voice she hears in her head now and then.

Lucky's Godzilla-size guilty conscience and lack of impulse control keep her moving when courage isn't enough. She may not be a typical American sweetheart but if you're in a bind you'll want this foul- mouthed, ex-junkie on your side. She'll do anything to show up for those she loves. That is if she can stay off dope, not go crazy…and stay alive.
