Okami

The short story bridges the gap between Flame in the Mist and Smoke in the Sun, diving into the life of Ōkami as he faces the consequences of his choices.

Captured and shackled, Ōkami finds himself on the brink of execution, reflecting on his past, lineage, and the pivotal loss of his father which has shaped his life. However, within the confines of his imprisonment, he finds solace in cherished memories and a steely resolve to protect those he loves. For he will surely be killed when he arrives in the Imperial City. But Ōkami decides if his life is the cost of love, it may not be too high a price after all.
