Descripción editorial

I wrote this book to give Patent Bar takers an affordable way to prepare for one of the hardest exams of their life. I present all the essential (pre-AIA) knowledge every test taker must know in order to pass as organized by MPEP (Manual of Patent Examining Procedure) chapters. The non-MPEP material that the USPTO indicated could appear on the test is broken down for the reader at the end of the text.

All the material is presented in a concise, hierarchal manner. The reader will not be confronted with a wall of words, but rather, snippets of easily-approachable information, broken down line by line to promote easy memorization.

In addition, I included four practice tests that feature questions that have appeared most often on the live USPTO examination. Testimonials from test takers indicated that between 7 and 25 percent of their test consisted of these questions, verbatim. Personally, when I took the exam in June 2012, approximately 25 out of 100 questions were from recycled questions that showed up in these practice exams. I can not promise that you will see as many recycled questions on your exam, but this is certainly a resource that you should use to your advantage.

In the future, this book will be updated to encompass the newest developments concerning the Patent Bar. For now, this book should serve as an excellent study supplement to help you pass the Patent Bar!
