Descripción editorial

Having neglected Bible study for twenty years, I am one of those Christians who has returned to the New Testament in my late thirties. At this stage of life, I am confronted as we all are by the “What does it all mean?” question. Which is almost always followed by the even more unsettling “What am I supposed to do?” And as I read through the gospels into the letters, I have that cliché realization: “Wow, Paul was really onto something!” Paul, as you’ll quickly discover through the ancient wisdom of Wikipedia, was a prolific writer and a brilliant theologian. In the present tense, he speaks courageously about the world we live in and the life that we have been promised, never keeping his own sin a secret, or withholding the glory of God. Moreover, as I writer myself, I can appreciate how Paul goes right for the proselytic gold. A letter to Rome wasn’t just a letter to some backwater town; nor was the contents of his writing simple pleasantries.
