Descripción editorial

Perry is the story of a young lonely bird who embarks on a journey and learns new talents that are revealed to him by the various fantastic birds he meets along the way.

Perry wakes up lonely and unknowing (he is depicted in Black and White at the beginning) and as he meets new friends he acquires new skills. Perry then takes on the colour of his previous acquaintance (reflecting his new knowledge) and as the book progresses he gains more and more colour in a variety of patterns. By the end of the book, he is resplendent in his new plumage and has a colourful collection of new friends.

The book aims to teach young children further knowledge of colours, personal attributes and rhyming structure whilst subconsciously imparting messages of tolerance and education.
