Descripción editorial

This book of poems written by a Caribbean writer Israfil Sahibdeen, is based on personal physical experiences as well as the experiences of close friends, although a few poems are based on spirituality. Departure of the Spirit, Soul, Call on Him, just to name a few. The poem Put Something Away was written in the year 1963. The idea first came about hearing my Grandfather saying to my relatives and warning them not to spend all their earnings, but to put some away for the rainy day. What he was really saying to put some cash in the bank, so one day you will be able to achieve greater things (home).

The poem Where Is My Home is about a friends home that was burned-down New Years Day 2011. This brings sadness and distress not only to my friend, but to many who witness this great disaster. This is a poem of grief and sadness. The poem Yesterday, is based on the stages of life, from the mothers womb to birth and eventually death.

The poems found in this book , makes good reading, not only for young poets but for those in the area of literature.
