Descripción editorial

Creston G. Downing is appealing his judgment of conviction and sentence after a jury found him guilty of lewd conduct with a minor. Downing asserts that the trial court erroneously refused to allow Downing to cross-examine the victim, who was fifteen years old at the time of trial, about false accusations of physical and sexual abuse that she allegedly made when she was approximately six years old. We find Downing's argument, based upon I.R.E. 608 and the Sixth Amendment's confrontation clause, to be without merit. Accordingly, we affirm. BACKGROUND
