The Throne of God and of the Lamb

What is God doing in you and in me? What is the object of His dealings with us? Why is He allowing all these fiery trials to come our way? Why is He allowing the enemy to have so much liberty with us? Why the history of the saints? To teach them the meaning of the blood of the Lamb. In other words, to bring them into the good of the Lamb's victory, which good is Life triumphant now; not to wait for the coming new heaven and new earth, but you and I are now being taught to live by another Life, a Life which is not the life of this old creation, but it is the Life which is the Life of the Son of God - "that life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me" (Gal. 2:20). All this has a present application.
