They’re Not Here For Us

Country Scars is one day away from performing at the Calgary Stampede when enormous objects appear above the world's oceans.

Humanity tries to communicate.

The visitors never answer.

Then the oceans begin to disappear.

Stranded thousands of kilometres from their homes on Vancouver Island, Dan Jeffries, Phil O'Brien and Joe Raymond can only watch as the objects take what they came for. Governments are powerless. Coastlines retreat. Weather patterns collapse. Roads fill with frightened people trying to reach somewhere safe.

The visitors did not come to invade humanity.

They did not come to save it either.

They are not here for us.

With global systems beginning to fail, the three members of Country Scars start the long journey west. To reach home, they must cross the Rocky Mountains, travel through a rapidly changing British Columbia and find a way across land that used to be covered by the Pacific Ocean.

They're Not Here for Us is a grounded alien-contact survival story about friendship, music, decency and three men trying to get home while the world changes around them.
