Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who lived in a magical bayou—just kidding. 

I was a far cry from royalty. Let's just say, my bloodline was more Addams Family than royal family—but that magic part was true. 

With a notorious voodoo queen and a witch doctor as my parents, my family had more skeletons in its closet than NOLA's North Side Skull and Bone Gang. 

I was a broke waitress with certain "gifts" I'd like to return. Being normal wasn't on the menu for a genetically cursed country girl like me. 

When a tall, dark, and handsome man offered to whisk me away to a life of luxury, who was I to argue? 

He wined and dined me until I was one greasy po'boy away from a heart attack.  

But things quickly went south when his idea of romance was volunteering me to participate in his latest deadly experiment. 

I went from swamp rat to lab rat, and things really started sizzling when I met Finn, the mysterious research assistant. 

That nerdy virgin made my mouth dry and my panties wetter than last season's hurricane.

I thought he wanted me for my body, but turned out, it was for my blood. 

Lucky for him, it took a lot more than things that went bump in the night to scare me away.
