Charles Kingsley was an English priest, historian and novelist, famous mostly for his works Hypatia, Hereward the Wake and Westward Ho! Due to his interest in history, Kingsleywrote several historical novels and achieved a great success after publishing his works Hereward the Wake and Westward Ho! 

First published in 1849, Twenty-Five Village Sermons is a unique collection of Charles Kingsley's sermons, written and preached during his career as a broad church priest.
