Voicemails from God

In the first story, “Almost Superman”, Robby safely returns home from his tour in Afghanistan only to realize that his fight for survival is far from over. Will there be blood shed on American soil?

In the second story, “Voicemails from God”, Alex and her 97-year-old grandmother make their annual birthday trip to Far Rockaway Beach. They sing happy birthday as they usually do, and nothing seems out of the ordinary until a mysterious telephone washes up on the shore.

In the last story, “Bite”, Tracy and her younger sister are running out of options and are forced to react to their mother’s irrational behavior before they’re ready to make a decision. Any hesitancy could take a bite out of their lives.
