Zelma's Mothership

This is the story of Zeah, a young and impressionable bride who marries and older hippie, Joel, and embraces his new age lifestyle. As she adopts her husband's world of spirit guides and celestial beings, she develops a rich fantasy life of her own. Soon she is channeling her own spirit guide, Commander Masser, who promises to take her and Joe aboard his spacecraft for a trip around the galaxy. Zeah neglects her household duties, devoting every spare minute to channeling and creating over size works of art depicting spacecraft. The family is drawn ever deeper into the alternate realities of the new age. At times it seems that only the three children have anything like a firm grip on reality. The story ends with Zeah's remarkable transformation out of the new age lifestyle and into Christianity.
