Tedious and a slog to read

The more you persevere to get through the story, the more frustrating it gets. The plot just doesn’t move, the characters are annoyingly stupid, and once you actually dig a bit deeper, the whole background of the historic events turns out to be filled with errors. Gave up there, looked up the summary online, there is also no satisfying payoff at the end, just more of the same tedium.
