Belonging in Technology

Andrew B. Williams, Ph.D., describes how the relationship between creativity and belonging in technology impacts each individual’s ability to innovate and more importantly our society as a whole.  He briefly describes his encounter with Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc. and the resulting conversation that led Steve Jobs to hire Williams as Apple’s first Senior Engineering Diversity Manager.  Included in this book is a synopsis of the all-women RoboCup robot soccer team, the SpelBots, from Spelman College he founded and the barriers they faced and overcame.
