Country Grace and Beauty

Jack Rhodes is a harried New Yorker who finds himself in a small town in West Virginia. Although he fled the rat race of the big city, he wasn’t quite sure what he was looking for, and he only stopped in this little town because his car broke down. But he finds the town, and the people there, tranquil. He tastes for the first time peace.

 

Meanwhile, his past pulls at him. It’s not letting him go easily. His past is a big part of him. He had responsibility, and he was good at what he did, and it brought him plenty of money. People relied on him. Can he leave all that behind?

 

He doesn’t know what he’s looking for, and doesn’t have a plan. All his life he’d hurried and rushed, and in leaving New York he hurried and rushed, making no plan, and putting no thought into what it was he was running from . . . or towards.

 

But people in the small town, and one in particular, starts to help him see, as he, in turn, helps them to see.
