These riding and training definitions of terms have been collected here in one place for you by several elder riders, schoolmasters, judges, and veterinariansto make the studies of equitation (and training) easier. 

There is a bibliography at the end of this little book. 

The words written in ALL CAPS are also words that are defined in this little Glossary book.

The definitions are loosely grouped in themes of training ideas instead of alphabetically. We did this deliberately. We also deliberately omitted an index in the back to prevent you from just looking up the single definition you need at the moment and calling it a day.  We want you to read this through! (THROUGH is an actual training term that is defined herein.)

Your riding depends on your riding. Be educated; you need all these. Ride well.
